WomenCount PAC Launches New Ad:
“You’re STILL not listening!”

San Francisco, CA – June 3, 2008 ~  Two days after the group’s return from the rally outside of the DNC Rules Committee meeting in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, WomenCount PAC has published new ads targeted to superdelegates entitled, “You’re still not listening. Our votes are our voices.”

“We want the superdelegates to take a long hard look at the electoral map and the primary math,” said Amy Rao, one of the group’s co-founders.  “Not only has Senator Clinton won the popular vote, she has won the key states that are crucial to any Democrat winning the White House in the fall.”

WomenCount also points to the whopping 21 million women who voted in the Democratic primary this year. “That’s a lot of women,” the ad reads.

The ad is the third in a series the group began publishing in USA Today and the New York Times, among other papers.  The first ad warned, “NOT SO FAST!”  The second said, “We Spoke Loud and Clear in Michigan and Florida and our voices MUST be heard.”

Since its creation in May, WomenCount PAC has raised nearly $500,000 from all around the country and received e-mails and phone calls from thousands of supporters. In addition to the ad campaigns, WomenCount PAC has also made contributions to several woman candidates for Congress. The PAC was created to ensure that the 51 percent of American citizens who are women have their values and votes counted in the political process.
